RV Truck Camping Blog: Our New Website!

rv truck camping move

We have a new website – RV Truck Camping!

I made some new discoveries this summer.  I learned web design using Dreamweaver a few years ago. It took forever to create a website, and I never did feel confident using it. So, I made a knee-jerk switch to Weebly. It was quick and easy. The sites that I built looked great, and I received many positive reviews. Then I discovered the limitations and hidden costs. I needed to make some changes.

RV-lifestyle.org as a domain name that was OK, but it was difficult to remember or share. I needed a new domain name for our growing blog. Our focus will be expanding to include more topics about RV truck camping. I would like a place where everyone can visit, and we can form a helpful, interactive RV truck camping community. Our Great Alaska Road Trip blog is growing. We loved all the emails and feedback that people gave us this summer. We needed to expand and include suggestions that our readers requested. We want our readers to find our blog useful, and that means including topics beyond just our road trips. So, we are changing.

New Content!

I developed a new website using WordPress. WordPress is a better platform for our blogging needs. I discovered that we needed to move before the blog on Weebly grew too big. It was a lot of work rebuilding the “Great Alaska Road Trip blog!” The move was a difficult decision, but well worth the effort. I want to create a long-term place where RVers can gather as a community. We are looking long-term to expand over many years with useful information and accurate resources.

Our new website is RVTruckCamping.com. We will continue to focus on our Alaska road trip. Future posts will include more topics about RV truck camping and the truck camping lifestyle. I edited and updated all of our Great Alaska Road Trip blog posts. They are now on the new website. I hope I found all the typos and did not create new ones! I added additional pictures. Check them out. Let me know what you think. We will be adding new categories as time goes by based on your input.

Coming Soon:

Here are some things you can look forward to:

  • Videos with road trips, technical information, and tutorials
  • Maps and charts with links to camping destinations
  • RV tools and equipment reviews
  • Road trips beyond Alaska
  • Forum for readers to help each other and share information
  • A real newsletter with useful information for our readers … not just advertisements cloaked as “information.”
  • Free white pages with timely information about truck camping

We Need YOU!

I dream that RVTruckCamping.com will become a great community for people to share ideas and adventures in a family oriented setting to promote a wonderful lifestyle of traveling and exploring by truck camper.

We do have affiliate links. This will help offset the cost of the website and allow us to provide you with free content – forever!

I have a huge favor to ask you… Please, let us know how you like the website. What do you like? What can we improve on? What would you like to see down the road? I desire to grow this community and help people.

Thank you for visiting, and mostly, thank you for all of your feedback!
